แบรนด์ ดิ โอนลี่ ซัน หยิบเอาแรงบันดาลใจจากการเดินทาง ท่องเที่ยวในโลกของศิลปศาสตร์การบิน จากคอนเซปต์ที่ต้องการถ่ายทอดประสบการณ์การตกดิ่งและถูกตรึงอยู่กลางอากาศออกมาเป็นเสื้อผ้าจึงทาให้เทคนิกหลักของคอลเลกชั่นนี้เป็นการนาอุปกรณ์ทางการบินมาดัดแปลงให้เข้ากับปรัชญาของแบรนด์ ดิ โอนลี่ ซันที่เน้นความเรียบขรึมคู่ไปกับฟังค์ชั่นการใช้งาน
ในคอลเลกชั่นผู้หญิงมีจุดเด่นคือการนากลไกขึงตรึงและวัสดุของร่มชูชีพอยากห่วงตัว D สามเหลี่ยมมาเป็นอุปกรณ์ตกแต่ง ทั้งบนผ้าออร์แกนดี้ผสมโลหะ และผ้าฝ้ายมันวาวในโทนสีน้าเงินคราม และครีมนู้ด ส่วนเส้นสายที่ปรากฏบนปีกเครื่องบินก็นามาดัดแปลงเป็นตะเข็บเย็บ และช่วงรอยต่อต่างๆ ของเสื้อ ไปจนถึงลายแกะเครื่องประดับ
ลายพิมพ์กราฟฟิคซึ่งเป็นอีกหนึ่งลายเซ็นสาคัญของแบรนด์ ดิ โอนลี่ ซัน นั้นได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากภาพกลับด้านของกระดานเที่ยวบิน โดยนามาพิมพ์เป็นลายโปร่งแสงบนผ้าไหมออร์แกนดี้ และเรยอนซาติน แล้วนามาตัดเย็บเป็นโครงเสื้อรูปทรงเพรียวลมให้สมกับเป็นการสดุดีแด่ศิลปะแห่งพลศาสตร์การบิน
ในส่วนของโทนสีนั้น ดิ โอนลี่ ซันถอดเฉดมาจากสีของแดดที่สะท้อนไปบนก้อนเมฆออกมาเป็นเฉดต่างๆ กันเช่นฟ้า ชมพู และขาวใส ส่วนของคอลเลกชั่นผู้ชายเน้นที่สีเทา, น้าเงินกรมท่า หลากเฉดสีเขียว,น้าตาล และดาเป็นต้น

The Only Son takes its inspiration from the art of travel and the world of aviation. The clothes are intended to evoke the experience of falling from the sky or being suspended in the air. The collection draws on the technical, mechanical and physical elements that occur in travel by air. The colour palette, the details and the construction all take influence from this. A softer and more ethereal palette of blues, pinks, cloudy whites and black for women and then a more functional and uniform-reminiscent palette for men in grey, navy, varying greens, brown and black.
Graphic details and geometric lines, referencing airplane wings and metal joining appear on seam constructions, silhouettes and on jewellery.
Inspiration is taken from the technical fabric of a parachute whilst construction echoes their working mechanism. In the women collection a woven metallic organdy and washed cupro cotton, in Indigo Blue and Flesh, has been used alongside a rayon modal in both sky blue and rose taupe, whilst hardware joins are made to look like triangle D rings from a parachute rig and suit.
An abstract textile print using images from a flip-character departure board has been transposed onto a semi-transparent organdy silk and rayon satin. Each piece is sophisticated and directional whilst retaining a functional and streamlined appearance.
For the men collection you will find waxed cotton in bistre brown as well as dobby canvas in midnight black and soft handle cotton shirting in olive green. Colour blocked nylon in military green and khaki appears on aviation style bomber jackets, super soft reversible Marl T’s and hooded zip up sweatshirts can be elegant and casual.
