Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Department of Intellectual Properties, Ministry of Commerce, Rakchat Management Group and Fashion TV jointly organize “Celerbration of Silk, The Miracle Journey 2013”, 2nd Edition on the on Thursday the 8th of August 2556 at Row A, Gate 1 of Departure Terminal 4th Floor of Suvarnabhumi International Airport. This is a project organized in celebration of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s 81st Birth Anniversary.

The Objective of this project is for both Thai people and Foreigners to learn about Her Majesty’s constant effort in supporting Thai Silk industry promoting Thai Silk and encourage Silk Tourism
In 2519, Her Majesty set up The SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand to promote Silk farming and handicraft making for farmers at the rural area and by doing so, the living standard of the rural farmers is greatly improved.
During the duration of the project, an exhibition is set up from the 3rd of August to 13th of August 2013 at Departure Terminal’s Eastern and Western Concourses in Suvarnabhumi airport. Silk fabrics from each provinces in Thailand are on display. Location of Silk Villages of each province are also introduced, in order for both Thai and foreign passengers to get to know them as the new Silk Tourism Destinations.
At the opening ceremony on the 8th of August 2013, there will be a grand Thai Silk Fashion shows from different provinces in Thailand. Highlight of the Fashion shows is the beautiful Thai dresses worn by Honorary Guests Models from participating Lady Ambassadors from Argentina, Norway, South Africa and Switzerland together with the Spouses of Head of Missions in Thailand from countries like Australia, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Columbia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Israel, Luxemburg, Netherland, New Zealand, Nigeria, Poland, Romania and Ukraine. All of whom has joint in the celebration. Also special appearances by Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova and few other top Thai super models.
Highlights of the fashion shows will be televised by Fashion TV worldwide to more than 500 million viewers around the world.
