Central Chidlom organized “THAITHAI: The Grand Opening of The New Thai Designer Zone” to celebrate the launch of a new zone dedicated to Thai fashion labels, bringing together 15 brands on one floor to wow fashionistas. The event included the fashion show presenting the Spring/Summer 2014 collection of leading brands, joined by leading celebrities and artists donning gorgeous pieces from the collection.

The evening was a chic party taking place at the THAITHAI zone, located at the skylink to Central Embassy on the second floor of Central Chidlom. Also present at the event were the owners of the 15 globally recognized Thai brands, eight of which are members of Bangkok Fashion Society (BFS) including president of the BFS and owner of Asava and ASV by Asava Polpat Asavaprapha, Ek Thongprasert of Curated by Ek Thongprasert, Mollika Raungkritya of Kloset, Milin Yuvacharaskul of Milin, Tipanan Krairiksh of Tu’i, Nattanuch Wongpuapan of Tutti, and Teerut Wongwatanasin of Vickteerut. Tapida Norpanlob said, “Central Chidlom organizes this event to celebrate the opening of our new zone THAITHAI which covers over 1,600 sq. m of space. The aim is to support Thai designers who are recognized worldwide. The zone features 15 brands, including eight brands from BFS and seven other leading brands. Four of the brands are exclusively available here namely Anchavika, Kem Issara, Lovebird and Tutti. Many of the brands have also showcased their new collection for the first time here, and some have designed special collection for the THAITHAI zone. In addition to that, we will bring multibrands to jazz up the atmosphere such as 31 Thanwa (bags), 77th (accessories), Rudimentary, and Skin by Secondskin. We have also included a chic café The Three Wishes Café & Tea Room to serve snacks and fine tea, decorated with lifestyle concept. This zone is a heaven for fashion lovers who want to add lifestyle elements to their lives.”

The executive also added, “We came up with this zone because we recognized the potential of Thai designers. In the past, we have seen that Thai brands are well-received both locally and internationally. Central Department Stores would like to support Thai designers whose ability can easily rival international labels by providing a special space for them to present their creativity and concept. We also facilitate our customers by allowing them to mix and match items from various brands and pay at one point. The décor of this zone is inspired by art exhibition. The open space allows customers to check out every brand conveniently and offer maximum visibility to every brand. Each brand has chosen only the master showpieces to feature here, which corresponds to Central’s mission – to offer only the best to our customers.”

When it was time to begin, famous emcee Savitree Rojanapruek welcomed the guests to the special fashion show from every brand, starting from the eight members of the BFS who debuted their Spring/Summer 2014. Every collection was received with enthusiasm from the guests. After the fashion show was finished, fashionistas were treated to an ultimate shopping experience amidst the party atmosphere.

Apart from this event, Central Chidlom also presents “THAITHAI: The Grand Opening of The New Thai Designer Zone”, offering special discounts and promotions for customers who shop at the Thai designer zone.
