Tourism Authority of Thailand in collaboration with Rakchat Management Group organize the 5th edition of “Celerbration of Silk, Discover Thainess 2015“, a Thai Silk Project and Exhibition to Honor Her Royal Highness Majesty the Queen Sirikit’s 83rd Birth Anniversary

Minister of Tourism and Sports, H.E. KobkarnVattanvarungkul graciously presides over and be the chairperson to the grand opening of the Project and Exhibition.
This is a project to honor Her Majesty The Queen for her tireless effort in supporting and promoting Thai silk in rural areas throughout Thailand. Such Silk farms are not a interesting Tourists Attractions in a new campaign called Silk Tourism.
At the event, the activities are divided into two parts.
1. The Exhibition of Thai Silk. By bringing in Thai silk fabric from each region of Thailand to display with information on tourism of Thai Silk Village locations to distribute the new silk tourism destinations to the tourists, Thai and foreign passengers are able to have the opportunity to visit the exhibition, from 25th of Augustto 6th September 2015 at the departure terminal’s eastern and western concourses.
2. The Fashion Show Extravagenza at the Opening Ceremony will be held on Tuesday 25th of August at the domestic departure service area, the 4th floor of Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
The fashion show consists of 4 sets,
The Beauty Of Thai Tradition.
The traditional costumes and antique Thai fabric are presented in this session and they are magnificent graceful, indicating obviously the uniqueness of Thailand. This collection is graced by Spouses of ambassadors from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Mrs Siriporn Panupong , wife of H.E. the Embassy Thailand to Canada

The Thainess Welcome
The show presents Thailand intellectual in fabrics and design by various kinds of fabric such as Prae-wa silk, woven silk, indigo dyed woven fabric, satin, brocade, are designed to create a modern fashion, in order to add value and gain appreciations from international fashion societies, this set is presented by the Staff of Tourism Authority Of Thailand, Airport Authority Of Thailand and Thai Airways International
The Wonder Of Modern Thai Silk
It’s the show of the design by using plain silk fabric, flower pattern fabric, and colorful fashion to tailor in the modern lifestyle fashion. This collection will be a rare showcase of famous former and current Thai Super Models.

Discover Thainess Through The World is the highlight of the fashion show. The beautiful costumes in different cultures custom tailored in Thai silk to be worn by honorary guest models from participating Female Ambassadors from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Finland, Panama, South Africa and Sri Lanka together with members of Spouses Of The Head Of Missions in Thailand from Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Indonesia, Ireland, Nigeria, Portugal and Vietnam . All these dresses are made of Thai silk fabric, from the Queen Sirikit Department of Sericulture, which is hallmarked by the Peacock logo bestowed by Her Majesty the Queen. This collection shows the beauty of cross cultures of each participating ladies and Thailand

The fashion shows will be televised by Fashion TV worldwide, the World’s Number One fashion channel to more than 500 million viewers around the world.
การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทยร่วมกับกลุ่มรักชาติ แมเนจเม้นท์ จัดงาน “มหกรรมผ้าไหม ร่วมเทิดไท้ราชินี” ครั้งที่ ๕เพื่อเทิดพระเกียรติพระมหากรุณาธิคุณของสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ และในโวรกาสเฉลิมพระชนม์พรรษาครบรอบ 83 พรรษา
โดยโอกาสนี้คณะผู้ดาเนินโครงการได้รับเกียรติจากรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา นางกอบกาญจน์ วัฒนวรางกูร ได้มาเป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดงานมหกรรมผ้าไหมไทยร่วมเทิดไท้องค์ราชินีและนิทรรศการในครั้งนี้
ในงาน“มหกรรมผ้าไหม ร่วมเทิดไท้ราชินี” ครั้งที่ ๕ (Celebration of Silk,Discover Thainess) มีการจัดกิจกรรมเป็น ๒ ส่วน ได้แก่
๑ การจัดนิทรรศการผ้าไหมไทย โดยนาผ้าไหมไทยในแต่ละภูมิภาคของประเทศไทย มาจัดแสดง พร้อมข้อมูลแหล่งท่องเที่ยวหมู่บ้านผ้าไหมไทย (Silk Tourism) เพื่อเผยแพร่ให้นักท่องเที่ยว ชาวไทยและชาวต่างประเทศ ที่ใช้บริการเดินทางผ่านเข้า- ออก ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ ได้มีโอกาสเยี่ยมชม โดยจัดแสดงตั้งแต่วันที่ ๒๕ สิงหาคม-๖ กันยายน ๒๕๕๘ ณ อาคารผู้โดยสารขาออก ฝั่งตะวันออก และฝั่งตะวันตก
๒ การแสดงแฟชั่นโชว์ จากผลิตภัณฑ์ผ้าไหมไทย ในคอนเซ็ปท์ไหมไทยสู่สายตาชาวโลกแบบวิถีไทย “Discover Thainess Through The World” ในวันที่ ๒๕ สิงหาคม ๒๕๕๘ ณ ส่วนบริการผู้โดยสารขาออกภายในประเทศ ชั้น ๔ ท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติสุวรรณภูมิ ซึ่งประกอบด้วย ๔ ชุด
ชุดที่หนึ่ง The Beauty of Thai Tradition เป็นการแสดงผ้าไทยโบราณ ที่มีความงดงามในจินตลีลาผ้าพลิ้วไหว วิจิตรตระการตา บ่งบอกถึงเอกลักษณ์ของความเป็นไทยได้อย่างชัดเจน ชุดนี้ได้รับเกียรติจากนางแบบกิตติมศักดิ์จากกระทรวงการต่างประเทศนาโดย คุณศิริพร ภาณุพงศ์ อัครราชทูต กรุงเวียนนา ภริยาอดีตเอกอัครราชทูต กรุงออตตาวา , คุณพรรณนภา จันทรารมย์ รองอธิบดีกรมยุโรป ,คุณรัตนประภา ดิศวัฒน์ ภริยารองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ อดีตเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงอัมมาน , คุณวิไลวรรณ จันตะเสน ภริยาอดีตเอกอัครราชทูต ณ คูเวต , คุณมกรา อนะมาน ภริยาอดีตเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงโคเปนเฮเกน, คุณชฎานิสา ชานาญเวช ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ 10 ทอท และรักษาการณ์ผู้อานวยการฝ่ายบริการลูกค้าท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ , คุณ ภัทรียา วินิจนัยภาค ภริยาอัยการสูงสุด

ชุดที่สอง The Thainess Welcome เป็นการนาผ้าจากภูมิปัญญาไทย เช่น ผ้าแพรวา ผ้ามัดหมี่ ผ้าทอย้อมคราม ผ้าหางกระรอก ผ้ายยกดอก มาดีไซน์ รังสรรค์ ให้เข้ากับแฟชั่นสมัยใหม่ เพื่อสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มให้แก่ผ้าไทยได้รับความนิยมจากสังคมแฟชั่นระดับสากลซึ่งชุดนี้จะแสดงโดยเจ้าหน้าที่การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย, การท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ, และการบินไทย
ชุดที่สาม The Wonder of Modern Thai Silk เป็นการนาผ้าไหมไทย ที่มีลักษณะผ้าพื้น ผ้าลายดอก ผ้าลวดลายแฟชั่นที่มีสีสันสดใส และลวดลายสวยงาม นามาออกแบบ ตัดเย็บ ให้เข้ากับแฟชั่นสมัยใหม่ในรูปแบบไลฟ์สไตล์ งานนี้ได้มีการรวมตัวของนางแบบชื่อดังอีกครั้งหนึ่งบนเวทีอลังการ อาทิเช่น แอนนา นาตาชา เปลี่ยนวิถี , อุ๋ม อาภาศิริ นิติพล , ลูกเกด เมธินี กิ่งโพยม , คาร่า พลสิทธิ์ , ซอนย่า คูลลิ่ง , เข็ม รุจิรา ช่วยเกื้อ , มาริสา แอนนิต้า , อนิพรณ์ เฉลิมบูรณะวงศ์ มิสไทยแลนด์ยูนิเวอร์ส 2015 , แอม สุทธิกานต์ หวังเจริญทวีกุล , ออแกน ราศี วัชรพลเมฆ , โย ยศวดี หัสดีวิจิตร

ชุดที่สี่ Discover Thainess Through The World เป็นแฟชั่นโชว์ที่ได้รับเกียรติจากเอกอัครราชทูตสุภาพสตรีจาก บังกาลาเทศ , เขมร , ฟินแลนด์ , ปานามา , แอฟริกาใต้และศรีลังกา มาเดินเป็นนางแบบกิตติมศักดิ์ร่วมกับและภริยาเอกราชทูต จาก ออสเตรีย ชิลี ,โคลัมเบีย , เดนมาร์ก , ไอแลนด์ , อินโดนีเซีย , ไนจีเรีย และ โปรตุเกส ร่วมแสดงแฟชั่นโชว์ในชุดผ้าไหมไทย โดยนาผ้าไหมไทยจากกรมหม่อนไหมที่ได้รับพระราชทาน ตรานกยูง จากสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ เพื่อเป็นเครื่องหมายรับรองคุณภาพผ้าไหมไทย นามาตัดเย็บชุดให้แก่ เอกอัครราชทูตและภริยาทูต ใช้สาหรับการแสดงแฟชั่นโชว์ในครั้งนี้

สาหรับภาพบรรยากาศในการแสดงแฟชั่นโชว์ครั้งนี้ ได้นาไปประชาสัมพันธ์เพื่อเผยแพร่ สู่สายตาชาวโลกมากกว่า ๕๐๐ ล้านคนทั่วโลก โดยผ่านช่อง Fashion TV ซึ่งเป็นสถานีโทรทัศน์เกี่ยวกับแฟชั่นโชว์โดยเฉพาะ
โครงการนี้เป็นการร่วมมือร่วมใจของภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และ คณะทูต เพื่อสร้างความเชื่อมั่นให้กับนักลงทุนและนักท่องเที่ยวอีกครั้ง
