On the 6th day of <Seoul Fashion Week S/S 2011> on October 27th, which is nearing its finally, Song Han, Myunguk Choi, Seunggun Park, Hyunjoo Kwak, Ranji Ye, and Younghee Lee’s collections were presented.
Designer Song Han, who expressed his unique texture through natural dyes inspired from insects, decorated the opening stage followed by designer Myunguk Choi, who focused on developing fabrics using traditional methods by focusing solely on Korean styles and the essence of Korea. Choi’s show was followed by designer Seongsook Yang’s collection with Korean touches, and designers Seunggun Park and Hyunjoo Kwak, whose collections were filled with individuality and wit. Especially, the collection from designer Younghee Lee, who has been advertising the traditional Korean clothing Hanbok to the world, was held at the end of the day, so relay of audiences continued until late at night and the show finally ended successfully. Due to the active studies on texture and prints, adding designers’ individuality and Korean color sense, the emergence of various fabrics was highlighted.

He is very interested in nature, so he is often inspired by flowers and insects. Especially, this time his motives were beetles with the theme of ‘Bugs Life’, therefore his collection was led by calm color tones such as black, beige, and grey, he also applied balloon silhouettes, the lean lines of insects on the overall hem line and mixed with glossy materials. Insect wings, which look so fragile, were expressed in organza, and the special texture was formulated through natural dyes. His collection, which was rooted in Korean beauty, was worthy to be praised as a Korean style avant-garde.
