In Siam Center & Siam Discovery Mystique” fashion show, the audiences were under the spell of lunar mystic charm while updating Fall/Winter 2009 collection from leading international brands. First and foremost, the collections of another F.C.K., multi-brand flagship store from Hong Kong, were motivated by elegant fashion and unique cutting in the 80’s, including glittering and metallic materials.  For the ones who want to declare one’s own identity, kitterick by another F.C.K. with Boy George, the fashion icon of the era, as the inspiration, was an ideal.  This collection was outstanding for its vibrant-colored prints and the matching of various items that seemed impossible to do. indu homme by another F.C.K. pushed the same old rules aside when it used asymmetrical pattern like unusual length and layers in men’s apparel.  Street wear also perfectly blended in this collection as seen from large shirt matching with skinny trousers.  Having ballerina as a muse of this collection, a.y.k. by another F.C.K. used the puffy ballet dress with shimmering fabric.  Last but not least, K2 by another F.C.K. combined the pattern of European peasant clothes with alluring dark romance from classic Hollywood movie in the 80’s.  The structure for adult’s apparels was also used to create new look for teenager’s outfit.

Next, EQ:IQ stunned everyone with the rocker’s style by using the rivet and metal accessory.  A feminine touch could be enhanced with chic oversized screened t-shirt, dress and leather vest.  As the perfect match, long or short coat with slim-fit pants or knitted blouse with wool trousers, legging or skinny pants were fascinating choices.  Men’s jacket was another item for chic ladies in this collection.  To brighten up this upcoming winter, pomegranate red, emerald green, dark pink as well as light and navy blue, were generally seen.  Lively as always, Esprit collection focused on casual street wear that could be easily mixed and matched, such as printed t-shirt with denim Capris, while cardigan, jacket and scarf could add more layers.  For party girls who want to look glamorous in the light, short or long evening dress with shinny fabric decorated with crystal or sequin was a “must”.  Black, grey and dark blue were very “in” for this season.  Also inspired by the 80’s, Karen Millen prêt a porter from U.K. introduced its retro-style leather jacket with slim trouser, slim-fit dress, crinoline skirt and Gypsy-style skirt with slanting rim.  For the glamorous look in cocktail party, perfect choices were black chiffon dress with ornamental satin fringe or dress with origami-like animal prints.  Fuchsia, bright red, purple, black and charcoal, were used as the main colors in this collection.  Furthermore, the dressing could not be complete without super chic ribbon boots and peep-toe shoes made of artificial leather and snake skin.

Introducing its Fall/Winter 2009 collection with super neat cutting, Kenneth Cole New York showed that every man can be stylish from head to toe with the hottest trend of this season – modern, edgy and City Slick Vibe.  Wide selections were on parade to be picked out, ranging from zipped jacket, skinny jeans, dark blue boot cut jeans, slack, vest and blazer.  Coming with these cool outfits were ‘must-have’ accessories like briefcase, Oxford-style shoes, necktie, sunglasses and cufflink, which were ideal for men of all ages and for any occasion.   Favorite jeans brand among super stars like Lucky Brand Jeans presented sequined and ruffled pastel blouse, not to mention floral prints and colorful beads, to highlight the feminine sweetness and liveliness and the top went perfectly well with loose “Boyfriend Jeans”.  For men, the vintage look was still desirable.  The recommended items were screened shirt in tattoo pattern, which was the symbol of rock & roll, shirt with graphic prints and checked shirt to wear with jeans, whether straight or boot cut.  Another irresistible brand was FCUK from England, featuring its latest collection, Think Glamorous, Think Dynasty.  Greatly inspired by fashion trend in the 80’s, the outfit gave ladies a dazzling charm in glittering black cocktail dress while men looked just perfect in shirt, contrast with fast washed knitwear or jacket. The highlight was all over STAR printed sweater into the season outfits.  The color palette of this season was electric blue, navy and aurora red.

In addition to cool fashion collection, wide array of accessories were always fascinating choices. Firstly, LeSportsac infused the modernity in classic bags with stylish prints, such as heart, graphic and colorful flowers, inspired by love, romance and femininity. Do not miss Artist in Residence special collection designed by Tomokazu Matsuyama, famous Japanese artist.  Lastly, fashionistas could not take their eyes off gorgeous shoes from Nine West and Steve Madden.
