For weeks, Raffles International College, Bangkok has been gearing up to organize their 2010 Graduation Show to celebrate 56 Bachelors with an abundance of more than 100 fabulous students’ fashion creations.

Today marks the day for this momentous occasion (Saturday 6 November 2010) at the Five-Star Renaissance Hotel Bangkok, carrying the electric theme of “Crescendo”, featuring a first-rate fashion runway. From Raffles International College Bangkok, Ms. Karen Lam (Director/Vice Dean), Mr. Jean-Baptiste Andreani (Academic Director) and Prof. Graeme Britton (Dean of Raffles University System, Sydney, Australia) will preside over the event, and bestow Degrees to 56 students from 7 Majors comprising Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Interior Design, Product Design as well as Marketing Management. The 2010 Raffles’ Bangkok Graduates-to-be have popular celebrities in their midst: “Orn” Patteera Sarutpongpokin, VJ Pitta Na Pattalung, “Emmy” Morakot Kittisara and “Ashi” Ashiraya Prasutanont, all of whom will graduate in the presence of many honorable guests, and numerous members from the press, along with a range of Television Broadcasters. .

Ms. Karen Lam reveals about today’s event: “This is our fifth Graduation Show which, every year, provides such a unique platform to showcase the creativity of our accomplished students, and their splendid performance throughout to a broad audience. All of our students’ Design and Marketing Portfolios, which are on show today, truly express their enormous potential and future promise, to become leading players in tomorrow’s world of Design and Commerce.

Mr. Jean-Baptiste Andreani also adds, “This year’s “Crescendo” theme, chosen by our very own students, could not have been more appropriate, as it emphasizes their ascending progress, from their very first day at Raffles to their very last. Following the highly professional curriculum standards, set by Raffles International College as well as being instructed and coached by a number of expert instructors from around the globe, this year’s Graduation Show is a true masterpiece, to glamorously highlight the quality of our students.”

Particular highlights of this event include a number of Fashion Shows, some of which featured in the “Thailand Graduate Fashion Week 2010” staged at the “Thailand Fashion Expo 2010” by the Department of Export Promotion from the Ministry of Commerce, held at the Central World Shopping Center, last October. One of Raffles’ International Bangkok’s Graduating students, Kiattikorn Charoenpanich, will show his highly acclaimed Fashion Collection. Kiattikorn is one of the five finalists on the popular reality show “The Designer”, currently broadcasting on Channel 9. Another Designer -and also Fashion Design Lecturer at Raffles Bangkok- will show his exclusive Men’s Wear collection. German-born Tobias Konrath came to Bangkok last year, after experiencing designing for world famous high-end brands like Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga.
